once again calling all mothers!

what are good finger foods to pack in the little snack box i send to school with sanah?

poha, upma etc are out. though she eats very well by herself, i guess its a pain to have to deal with it at school.

so that leaves idlis, little kutty parathas/pancakes, tikkis...

and?

I'm not a mother, but how about little dosas (kal dosa, I think they're called) or dosa batter seasoned and made into little round appams (check out my food blog if you dont know what I mean, under "snacks") :)

lost the comment somehow - peeled, diced apples; skinned almonds with cashews, raisins and dates; chapati-ghee-sugar / jam - rolled and cut into bite-sizes; wholewheat cookies - write for recipe - if it's anita-proof, it is anyone-proof; chapati dough cut into star shapes, etc with cookie cutter and cooked; small squares of bread and jam. test all food at home for practicality and baby's chew-ability before u send to school!

hmm. sandwiches, they were always my favs. then there was banana wrapped in chapatis (pick up and eat)
i would recco sandwiches, and not idlis (bleh)
also sandwiches come in so many varieties :) i would also recco cutting and putting in pieces of carrots and cucumbers. i loved those too. also sliced boiled potatoes buttered on top. this is making me hungry

Sandwiches, in all the combinations you can think of...veggies included...min idlis, theplas, a cookie or two for incentive, fruits chopped fine, with chat masala sprinkled...veggie frankies...
