for anarchytect :part 2

i posted the photographs of the strange way in which she organises her blocks around the train tracks. i thought it was you, and your city photos.

it is not.

the one thing that seems to have made a deep impact on her in school are the words, stand in line. yes, the very same fascist lines that we have all had to follow all through our school years. i wonder if they still say, fingers on your lips, stand in line.

well, this morning she made another strange strange city with her blocks. and then she said, mumma, maine blocks ko bola, stand in line.
"i told the blocks to stand in line."

so is it this one line that is deeply embedded in the psyche of our urban planners? fingers on your lips, stand in line. is that why her cities resemble new bombay, kandivali east, malad west, mira road etc etc? even the colours match.

oh, the way in which parel is rapidly transforming, definitely a 'fingers on your lips, stand in line' imagination.

I think we adults like order and human babies are given a longer time for growing up because they have to brought in line.

And if the "finger on your lips" or "stand in line" don't work, don't forget the "Hands Up" signal to totally give up.

Didn't have the skirt-holding back in my school.

It sure did take a lot of alcohol to morph the rigid lines drafted in school to random, natural squiggles
