paper planes

many books later i picked up a piece of paper and folded it into a plane. i lay down next to her so we could both watch the plane fly in the sky, aided by my untiring arm.

i asked her where all the plane should fly...
to bangalore - to sanjay...
to chennai- to deepa...
to calcutta- to diksha...
to kerala-to dada dadi...
to goa- to rahul...
to dilli- to bodhi...
to ahmedabad- to katy and becca...
to hyderabad- to spacebar and G...
to baroda- to pratima nani...

and then she went onto the places she needs to go to
to australia...to adu bhaia and sanju didi
to amritsar...to mamu nana
to jammu...to bua nani........

it was a succesful journey because she dozed off after going through such an exhaustive list.

and i was left wide awake...oh damn we have traipsed around all over the countryside with her. hopefully she will feel like she belongs, to all these places and people- and does not feel too much like a vagabond.

No, no, vagabond is good. And a vagabond who belongs to the places she goes to, is very, very good.
